Lip camera mounted on UltraFit headset

Lip camera is an opptional extra for the research system allowing synchronous lip video alongside ultrasound and speech audio.

A lightweight (70g) NTSC interlaced analogue camera can be mounted on a specially designed fully articulated camera arm connected to the UltraFit headset (designed by Anna Matosova).

AAA can only record one video channel but the camera can be positioned to the front or for a profile view of the lips. The camera focal length minimises image distortion so that millimeter measures can be made from the video image. The 30fps 640×480 pixel images can be de-interlaced by AAA to provide 60fps 640×240 pixel images.

DeepLabCut models have been trained to label keypoints on the lips. Inner border of upper and lower lips and vermillion border of lower lip. Commissures (corners), centres and points midway between commissure and centre.
